Narrow-leaved ragwort

Narrow-leaved ragwort is native to South Africa and reached Belgium via the import of wool. This plant is common in Flanders and is one of the most rapidly expanding non-native plant species. It is found everywhere in large numbers along the coast, especially in marram dunes and moss dunes, and is actively controlled in some places. It is an abundantly yellow flowering plant that is very conspicuous. Narrow-leaved ragwort is a species of sunny pioneer environments and can be found in many different places.
