Orange bladder-senna

Oranje bladder-senna has long been cultivated as an ornamental shrub in Flanders. It grows in dry and sunny sites, often on calcareous soils. Originally, orange bladder-senna comes from Southern and Central Europe. Its main area of distribution is along the coast, where it is quite common in the dunes. The species is characterised by an orange-tinged corolla and strongly swollen pods containing the seeds.
